Support Groups

You feel like you’re on your own.

No one seems to understand what it’s like for you. You wonder, how do other parents and caregivers do this?!!!

You wish you could talk to others who could relate.

You want to know that you are not alone.

But, there’s no time to figure out how to connect with other parents or caregivers.

It would feel so good…

to end your long day with a small group of parents and caregivers who understand you and support you

for you to find your people

Hi, I’m Cedarose,

A lover of support groups. As a group facilitator, I aim to provide a simple structure that offers you and others, a warm, compassionate space to gather. A space for you to–

  • Feel seen, heard, and to know that you are not alone in all that you are navigating

  • Rest in some sweet togetherness

  • Tune into your own powerful insights that only you as your child’s parent or caregiver can discover

  • Groups are all by video conferencing, join from bed!

    Groups meet for 90 minutes, usually on a weekday evening, for 6 weeks or longer.

    Groups are kept small, 6-10 people, to give each person more time, and to support better connections.

    If needed, the child you support is welcome to be with you while the virtual group is meeting.

  • So far, I have offered groups focused on bringing together parents and caregivers who are raising a disabled child, and are:

    • Dads of Autistic Teens (ages 13-21)

    • Moms of Young Kids (ages 3-6)

    • Moms of Teens (ages 11-21)

    • Kinship Caregivers

    • Single Parents/Caregivers

    • Co-Parents

    • Moms (primary caregivers who identify as female or nonbinary)

    • Moms with Uninvolved Co-parents

  • I would love to hear from you, and, to figure out how I could facilitate a group to bring together the parents, or caregivers, that you want to connect with. Just send me an email, or book online a ‘brief initial call’, and share your idea!

    My goal is to make these groups as relevant and supportive to parents or caregivers as possible, so your input is essential for that!

I could likely get a contract to provide this service in any other Wisconsin county. Make an appointment and we can start that process for your county.
